1.TPE的组分中有一项是软化油,软化油属于低分子物质，在加工时或较高温度条件下容易挥发释放小分子物质，容易导致材料释放较大气味。低硬度（0~30A)的TPE，气味比高硬度(70~100A)TPE要大，无气味TPE，硬度通常较高。

　　2.油的品质，氢化度等不同，油本身的味道大小有差别。好的软化油味道小，劣质的油品，味道较重，甚至有淡淡的柴油味。无气味TPE，应选择高品质的油品作为配混体系软化剂。

　　3.配混体系其他组分的选择。其他组分应尽量选择味道小气味小的组分，如塑料树脂的选择，助剂的选择等等都要考虑到方方面面。
