鉴于TPE应用最广的是基于SEBS、SBS改性的TPES材料，而实际上也是人们通常说的TPE，故本文下文提到的TPE，如无特殊说明，均指这类TPE材料;下文提的PVC，均指TPVC。

　　1、回弹性

　　TPE的回弹性优于PVC.举个例子来说，通常厚度软硬度的片材，同样的弯曲程度，撤去外力后，TPE片材恢复原状的能力要强于PVC。

　　2、质感

　　虽然TPE和PVC都具有柔触感。但TPE更具有橡胶的柔弹触感。而TPE弹性较弱，触感较为柔绵。

　　3、比重

　　TPE比重0.83~1.4；PVC比重1.2~1.4.

　　4、硬度

　　TPE10~95A,PVC110~20P.TPE的硬度通常是以邵氏硬度A表示（特殊硬度用OO及D来度量），PVC硬度通常是以增塑剂含量的多少来表示。硬度单位为P。需要注意的是，TPE硬度值越大，材料越硬，而PVC硬度值越大，材料越软。
