TPE可以用标准的注塑成形，压塑成形，吹塑成形等方式加工制造。注塑成型在加工TPE时格外重要，因为大多数市场中的TPE产品都运用这种成型方法，使用最为广泛。TPE可以通过调整原料比例来调整其不同等级的硬度，从最软的如同手掌般的弹性感到轮胎般的坚硬感，都可以驾驭。它也可以加入传统的热塑性材料使其改善耐冲击强度。
