　　热塑性弹性体（thermoplastic elastomer,TPE)是从20世纪50年代末期开始发展起来的一类新型高分子合成材料，具有硫化橡胶的物理机械性能和软质塑料的工艺加工性能。总的来说，热塑性弹性体也称热塑性橡胶，是一种兼具橡胶和热塑性塑料特性，在常温显示橡胶高弹性，高温下又能塑化成型的高分子材料。也是继天然橡胶、合成橡胶之后的所谓第三代橡胶，简称TPE或TPR.
